The 3rd edition of the Professional Congress on Wood Treatment and Conservation – Expocida Madera was held in Bilbao on the 9th and 10th of March.
This International Congress aims to provide current knowledge on new and effective treatments for better prevention, maintenance, pest management and conservation of wood. It is aimed at professionals in the pest control, construction, rehabilitation, architecture and restoration sectors.
The Congress was attended by more than 200 participants from several countries, including Manuel Touza from the Galician Forest Industry Agency (XERA – CIS Madera), partner of the EGURALT project.
Manuel Touza presented part of the experimental work developed in Eguralt’s GT2 in the framework of the round table on “Wood pathologies”. The title of his presentation was: “Preventive protection of cross-laminated timber panel (CLT) buildings against subterranean termites (EGURALT Project)”.
